Michael Jordan’s life might be an open book, but there are certain aspects of his life that he just doesn’t want to get out.
“The Last Dance” docuseries provides a fresh insight into the Chicago Bulls’ dynasty, but while fans are watching the series, they are not aware that the house Jordan is in doesn’t belong to him.
Jordan actually refused to do his interviews at his Jupiter, Florida home.
“There are certain aspects of his life that he wants to keep private,” executive director Jason Hehir told Jason Guerrasio of Insider. “He just didn’t want people to see all that. I respected that, so I never pushed back.”
Jordan’s interviews occurred at three houses near his home. One of them was a rental and the other two are owned by Hehir’s friends, who granted him permission to use them for filming.
“I looked for places that seemed like Michael might live in,” Hehir said. “I knew what his real house looked like and I knew this is a wealthy guy who has certain tastes, so we wanted something to match that.”
Jordan’s Jupiter home is a 28,000-square-foot mansion that has 11 bedrooms and what Forbes describes as a “lavish athletic complex” complete with a gym and a basketball court.

Said Hehir: “You’d be surprised how quickly people will open their doors when you say, ‘Can Michael Jordan come over and be interviewed at your house?’ ”
