Last week, it was reported that the Dallas Cowboys had reopened contract negotiations with Dak Prescott for the first time since using the exclusive franchise tag on him. Liz Loza of Yahoo would soon add she heard rumors that the two sides were actually closing in on a four-year contract with an annual salary of $35 million.
On Monday, ESPN’s Jeremy Fowler updated the negotiations and they have appeared to hit a snag as there are two huge issues holding up the deal. The 1st one is the guaranteed money and the other is the length of the contract.
The two sides talking is a good thing as there is no rush to get a deal done right now.
The former fourth-round pick of the Cowboys back in 2016 was in line to make $26.824 million fully guaranteed for the 2020 season with the franchise tag.

During the 2019 season, the 26-year-old racked up 4,902 yards, 30 touchdowns and 11 interceptions.
