Four years ago, Larry Sanders had to step away from the NBA and retire after dealing with anxiety and depression. It did not stop the former Milwaukee Bucks star from still living out his dream, but no whe’s playing ball for the BIG3 League.

Over the weekend, Sanders was in the midst of a game when he decided to take some time, drop to his knee, and ask his longtime girlfriend to marry him.

“That was like the best decision I made in my life honestly. It wasn’t about basketball. I was killing it with the sport, but everything off the court was falling apart.”
