Nine years in Toronto — DeMar DeRozan could never get the Raptors over the hump to playing past the Conference Finals. Despite staying loyal to the franchise, the team decided to make a move and trade him to the San Antonio Spurs for Kawhi Leonard.
It was the best decision ever as the team is getting set to play in the NBA Finals for the first time in franchise history.
As far as DeRozan goes, his latest post on Instagram seemed to be uplifting with him smiling, but his caption made it sad as he has to watch his former team excel without him on the roster.
There is no doubt he is cheering for his friends who are still on the team, but you just know that DeRozan is hurting inside to watch Kawhi basically wipe out everything he did with Toronto in just about eight months time.
