24-year-old Shalaya Briston is walking the streets again after a judge decided that the woman charged with attempted homicide and aggravated assault in a Pittsburgh stabbing that critically injured former Ohio State quarterback Terrelle Pryor could be released while on electronic home monitoring.
She can actually thnk Pryor for that.
TMZ Sports has the details:
“The woman who allegedly stabbed NFL wide receiver Terrelle Pryor is finally being released from jail … almost 3 weeks after she was locked up.
24-year-old Shalaya Briston appeared in an Allegheny County courtroom via video conference Tuesday for a bond hearing in her attempted homicide case.
During the hearing, the judge agreed to release Briston on house arrest — she’ll stay with her mother and won’t be allowed to leave the home for anything other than court. She’ll be required to wear an ankle monitor.
Prosecutors said Pryor did not object to the release — and noted that Terrelle was campaigning for her release during a hearing last week … saying, “Let her out.”
Police described their dispute as “mutual combatants.” Aside from almost losing his life, Pryor still faces a charge of simple assault.
After his career ended with the Buckeyes in 2011, Pryor spent time with nine NFL teams including the Buffalo Bills, New York Jets, Washington Redskins and Cleveland Browns. He was waived back in September by the Jacksonville Jaguars.
