Booo, what a Debbie downer!
A couple of days ago, a video surfaced online showing Patrick Mahomes giving his best Kyrie Irving moves on the basketball court, complete with a spin move and layup.
Very impressive moves to fans, but not to the Kansas City Chiefs organization. With the Chiefs front office being 1-year away from breaking the bank on Mahomes, they wanted to deal with this video immediately.
Chiefs General Manager Brett Veach said during an interview with 810 WHB in Kansas City that after watching that video of Mahomes playing b-ball, he reached out to the quarterback’s agent and asked him to not do that anymore.
“We spoke to Patrick Mahomes’ agent and said Chiefs Kingdom can be assured there will be no more basketball for Pat,” Veach said. “We were able to nip that in the bud.”
The Chiefs may have a right to want to keep Mahomes as healthy as possible, it will be nearly impossibly to keep him wrapped in a bubble and stop him from doing whatever he wants to do away from the field. If he doesn’t already, he soon have the money to get his own personal court and play without anybody pulling out there phones and dry-snitching on him.
