CBS’ Gayle King has been unveiled as a Sports Illustrated swimsuit model at 69.
The news anchor is among four women appearing on different covers of an SI issue set to drop this week. She’s in unlikely company, given that the other women – Chrissy Teigen, Hunter McGrady, and Kate Upton – are all experienced models.
Apart from the aforementioned trio being veterans in the business, they are much younger than Gayle.
Still, she looks great and could pass for someone who has seen fewer moons.

Gayle King Is Probably The Most Surprised Out Of All Of Us
Gayle King claims she would have never thought such a thing was possible.
“I never in a million years thought I would be standing here in a bathing suit for Sports Illustrated [Swimsuit], but here I am, which says to me that sometimes people can dream, God can dream, the universe can dream a bigger dream than you can ever think for yourself,” she said during the shoot in Mexico.
“I would have never thought this was possible. This was nowhere on my bucket list. So I’m thinking maybe it was a dream that I didn’t even know I wanted because now that I’m here, I want it bad.”
She discussed her inclusion on Tuesday’s ‘CBS Mornings’ show, claiming she was shocked at the invitation to participate and didn’t think she was worthy.
Dre Barrymore and the other anchors told her she was wrong on that front, pointing out that she looks great and totally deserves the honor.
